Introduction

 I've been with Elliott for 7 years and married for almost 5. We are perfect for eachother in so many ways. We got married fairly young but I'm proud to say we are still as happy (if not more) as we were in the beginning. We have been through a lot together, more so than any other couple our age. And I believe a lot of it has to do with the military life we live.  Of course everyday hasn't been a fairy tale but the good outweigh the bad. He joined the military right after he graduated High School in 2002. Was stationed in Korea for 1 year, and during that time we started talking on the phone and emailing. When he came home we started dating right away. In 2004 he was deployed to Iraq for 1 year. I was 'just the girlfriend' back then so I wasn't too involved with the army wives, or information chain. I lived by myself and waited patiently everyday for my phone calls and/or chat sessions. That was a very rough year for me. He came home, proposed, we got married, bought a house, adopted our son, and that brings us to now. Elliott is currently deployed in Afghanistan. He left early Dec 2010 and won't be home till Dec 2011. 1 full year.
